Top Contributors
Thanks to Dixmit Consulting we are now able to review and celebrate our awesome contributors each month.
Contributions come in many forms: bug fixes, feature implementations, documentation improvements, code reviews, and more. Each PR represents time, effort, and expertise shared with the community.

OpenUpgrade v17 is (almost) ready!
Thanks mainly to Holger Brun, Miquel Raich, Pedro Baeza, Sylvain LeGal, the OpenUpgrade scripts for version 17 are almost done.
To get a full view of the work in progress, check this issue on Github: https://github.com/OCA/OpenUpgrade/issues/4124
The creation of the scripts for version 18 has started in parallel. The team is being paid by the OCA for this work. Please consider sponsoring the OCA with your company or become an individual member to make it possible for the next versions.

End of auto-certification for the point of sales in France
France has decided to end the option for an auto-certification for the point of sales software (source: https://entreprendre.service-public.fr/actualites/A18087).
This will have a big impact for the shops using Odoo Community Edition.
A group of OCA French members is gathering to find a solution together. You can contact Sylvain LeGal to know more about this initiative.
Brussels Code Sprint
In January, just before the FOSDEM conference we held a code sprint in Brussels. We had a mixture of experienced contributors and some fresh new faces attend. Michel Stroom gives us his account of the days here.
You will also see what was worked on over the days and details on how to start your own code sprint.
