Suggest a new team

Acceptance Criteria

The new team will be evaluated by the Project Steering Committee using the following criteria:

• Team name compliance with OCA Conventions
• Team relevance
• Team objectives
• Team members' compliance with the CLA
• Projects this team will manage must have been submitted.
• OCA representative has been defined

Responsibilities of the project team

• review code quality, and functionality of contributions to the team's repositories
• merge the approved contributions
• check CLA compliance of contributors
• discuss the roadmap of new features
• respect and ensure that OCA Conventions are respected
• participate in communication with team members and other contributors
• discuss and decide on new team members that have been proposed based on their merits within this particular project, other OCA projects or other collaborative open source projects outside the OCA

Responsibilities of the OCA representative

• add new team members approved by the team in the OCA Odoo instance
• take up any organizational problems with the OCA
• answer to any inquiries from the OCA

Procedure

To suggest a new team, send an email to contribute@odoo-community.com with :

• the team name
• the team objectives
• the firstname and lastname of team members with their GitHub accounts
• all the information requested to submit a project as stated in Suggest a Project
• Suggested project members (must have signed the CLA)
• Suggested OCA representative (must be an OCA member):
  • his/her contact information (email, company, location)
  • his/her GitHub account
  • any information demonstrating he/she can endorse the responsabilities as the PSC may contact the project contributors or the community to evaluate the support for the OCA representative.

Team and Projects must be submitted in the same email as they will be evaluated simultaneously and all Team members must be copied.

Localization Team

As code probably exists, all the owners of the copyright must have signed the CLA.

Upon approval, the OCA will

• create a new team on GitHub
• add the members
• create new projects as explained on Suggest a new Project
• Send an email explaining the OCA Conventions and the provided tools.
• update the OCA representative on Github
• create the OCA representative account on odoo-community.org and grant him or her the right to add members to the project

Upon denial

We may suggest you to contact and join an existing team.
