I guess my question was not very clear, but it is maybe partly due to the wording in odoo. What I am looking to get is a way to retrieve those camt files from the bank, like the FDS system does for PostFinance. Using either an API or file transfer. Using a kind of cron job.

I use indeed this module you mention to import/parse the camt files into odoo BS. This is the second step, once you have the xml files.
