Copy campaign, channel and source from opportunity to quotation

Dear CRM experts,

We're seeing that the campaign, channel and source are not being copied from opportunity to quotation when the user does the conversion.

This is a bit strange, from what I'm used to seeing in other systems, such as SAP. 

For example, I would assume that in case that you launch a christmas sales 2016 campaign, you'd want to see how many leads you attracted, but also how many sales orders were created. Probably the leads originated from a mass mail or web page, but the sales orders were created as manual conversions from those leads/opportunities.

Does this make sense to you?
