Hi David, 

as Weblate (afaik) faces lots of competition from VC driven alternatives,
i would say the OCA would do good to sustain and support this relevant 
"tool" at least on an annual basis in the same way as OCA sponsors sponsor
the OCA. 

So i am absolutely positive on the matter, though i also
know that as you put money (i.e. financial contribution) on the table, this may 
also negatively impact on the contributions of the OCA itself (though i personally
believe that sharing code and ideas always pays off (even a decent surplus on the overall
effort))

So i would definitely support the idea but i would also perfectly understand
if our top contributors would insist in not doing so. So i thing these
people's opinion should count most and i am personally interested in their
voice on this issue. So please speak up ;-) ... and have a nice weekend around the
globe.
