Hi guys, 

i thing that is a quite common requirement that goes into many many
verticals (that feed humans of all types but also animals). I really
have no suggestion where to put it exactly, but i would definitely avoid
to mix it into any special vertical (even food is not easy because
veterinarian and human food industry do differ). 

We at initOS have a couple of customers in the pet food industry that
use such attributes already (but limited to the Magento e-Commerce for
the moment). Furthermore, i think requirements go beyond the pure
nutrition attributes but should also involve allergene information /
handling notices.
