Anyway as you can bring LGPL module to Odoo which has an AGPL core, the module itself becomes AGPL in the context of the whole application as it would require AGPL code to work, thus you don't need to change that license as AGPL rules already applies to it.
This is true for LGPL. Although it makes it impossible to backport a proprietary module to v8 as it would be copyright infringement. Unless the author contributors agrees to it and in this case the license of the backport would have to change to an AGPL compatible license.Yannick Vaucher
