Hello Ermin,

Thank you for posting on this thread, it has reminded me to provide some closure here as well not just on twitter.

The remaining time after developments was not much indeed, I did have the possibility to extend the duration with up to 60 days. But in the last 8 days there were no contributions at all in spite of this message being broadcasted. I took this as a sign of insufficient interest and decided against prolonging the campaign duration and holding the contributors donations hostage which were given in good faith.

My wish has always been and always will be to make it open source. It's much easier for everyone, it can develop much faster, better and has a lot more feedback so it can grow into something very powerful.

Unfortunately I cannot justify the many hours invested in research, development, testing, bug fixes etc to just release it for a random amount or for free. We are talking over 1.500 hours fully unpaid + many more hours funded with a low hourly rate. This means that it's either sold as proprietary or another campaign is started in hopes that something would be different. Though I do not see what would be different except a bit more coverage.

If anyone should feel they have a better idea for a new campaign to succeed or consider lobbying customers to pitch in then I would take one last shot at it. This was the proposition all along to make the module opensource as it will be at a small fraction of the cost.

Sold as proprietary it will be much more expensive than a perk in the campaign and this way it would have been cheaper for everyone.

I have constantly worked on the modules ever since and keep improving them, the plan was to try again later with more functionality. In the meantime if you have a urgent need as you said you can contact me and I will provide a quote for a proprietary version of the modules.

I'd like to end by thanking everyone for their tremendous support, especially OCA with all members and everyone providing social media coverage and funding. It might not have worked out in the end but the support and willpower to make this happen was great! Waves have been generated and a lot of good intention was present. I appreciate that a lot.

Kind Regards,
Paul

Dear Paul

Disappointingly your campaign did not succeed. I believe the remaining
campaign time after all the positive moves and developments together
with OCA and OdooMRP was too short.

Do you have already any plans on how to proceed? Do you want to start
another campaign or to make it available on other ways?

I do have a small startup project which would urgently need your
configurator.

Thanks for any further info
