Hello Jacob,

I think you are mixing two different things:

* SMTP support is not (yet) being dropped by Google (and there is
nothing in
https://gsuiteupdates.googleblog.com/2019/12/less-secure-apps-oauth-google-username-password-incorrect.html
about this )

* IMAP is impacted though, and this can have an impact for Odoo users
who poll a google mail box using that protocol.
