Have a look to report_xlsx_helper for generating template based excel reports.

I have an addons, xlsx_imexrpt, which I explain it here -> https://github.com/OCA/reporting-engine/issues/273

 

Basically, it create excel report by inserting data into a predefined excel template (not by using python to build excel file as in report_xlsx)

 

I am not sure whether there is similar module already exists. And since it is used not only for reporting, but also on import / export. I would love to have suggestion, whether OCA is interested in this module, if so, which repo is suitable. (also the naming of this module).
