Having played that game some, it is a good idea, however my experience is that the best approach would be an "Open Connector".  Use Odoo as the base then be able to have API interfaces with any number of different Marketplaces and E-Commerce systems, either internal or external.

The Magento connector is a good starting point.  From Magento (connected with Odoo) there are services such as M2EPro which will further connect Amazon, Ebay, Walmart and others.  There is a cost to M2Epro and likely to others.

I would think that using the "Connector" approach in OCA - exemplified by the Magento connector, it would be possible to have a series of "droplets" that controlled to API to different external systems,  Magento included.

Again, though, there are various systems out there and all this is a relatively complicated undertaking.  I am particularly allergic to upgrade processes, especially those that both Odoo and Magento sometimes present.

Needing to jump back into all this on account of those actual Upgrade situations.
