Re: connectors for Odoo 12

Hi Andrei, hi Guewen, its not to say, that there is no interest anymore, no. I would be really appreciate if you start out a migration of the module for the relation between a new Odoo and an relatively new Prestashop, but just as Guewen says, if you for instance take Magento.. There are myriads of companies still sticking with V1 of Magento as the migration to V2 would bascially mean a 6-digit project and they have not seldomly invested such an amount over the years already. Now the dicontinuance of security patches is a threat, but as pretty many use community anyway that would be rather theoretical and there are service out there that fix this. So just as Guewen says they are 1.) Delaying the projects 2.) Considering swichting to what i would call post classical e- commerce stack I don't no Prestashop that well but i thing there is a decent many of people using it. So the ones that are having customers that both use Odoo and Prestashop together are the ones you are your "community". I am afraid but it probably works like this. Push the first code and than ask for reviewers. I am pretty sure this will work out. Don't be frustrated. Be the first mover..... At least it will lower your maintaince cost for the piece of code. Hope that helps Best Frederik Am Donnerstag, den 04.06.2020, 07:47 +0000 schrieb Guewen Baconnier: > Hi, > > I think our answers (at least in my thoughts) were trying to explain > why there is less traction than a few years ago for these modules, > not trying to sell other solutions. > > Maybe another one I observed: our customers still using Magento or > Prestashop connectors tend to delay their migration a lot (the > complexity of maintaining the 2 solutions does not help). > We have a customer currently migrating from 7.0 to 12.0 ( > https://github.com/OCA/connector-magento/pull/292). > So, these projects are not abandoned, but if many new customers > prefer to use a custom or another e-shop, old customers delay their > migration, remain only the new customers who already have Magento and > Prestashop for years, ... well maybe the investment of paying the > migration of the modules is discouraging for a new odoo integration? > > On Thu, Jun 4, 2020 at 9:26 AM Andrei Levin < > andrei.levin@didotech.com> wrote: > > Hi Frederik, hi Guewen, > > > > Thank you for your replies. > > > > First of all I apologize for starting another thread.
