This theoretical training will present the amazing and wonderful community-maintained tool called Open Upgrade, how it’s supposed to be used, how an Odoo database upgrade with it usually looks like, how to survive it and how to share your newly gained experience with the mere mortals by contributing.
Audience: Technical
Prerequisites: To attend this training, you need to have at least a good knowledge of how to setup an Odoo environment, run Odoo and manage its databases. While in theory, this knowledge would be enough to use Open Upgrade, in practice it never works as planned and you will need to get your hands dirty and dive into the code. That’s why you will also need to have a good knowledge of SQL, Python and Odoo development.
