OCA Days 2025
A Retrospective

Over the 15th, 16th and 17th of September the OCA Days for 2025 were held once again in Liège, Belgium. Following feedback from previous years we offered 3 days for the event which was met with great appreciation from the community.

This year we moved the event to the Palais des Congrès de Liège. The bigger space meant we were able to spread out and offer a larger, quieter area for coding, generous sized rooms for training and presentations and a dedicated party room for the Tuesday evening.

Day 1

Monday the 15th was a code-sprint day. This is something the community has been asking for and we were pleased to be able to offer it. You can find the results of the 3 days coding in the working document from the event.

We also had 3 trainings sessions:

  • Installing Runboat in your organization - High Level Overview with Stéphane Bidoul.

  • MIS Builder - Introduction and more with Annabelle Stoffel, Guillaume Vandamme and Stéphane Bidoul.

  • Open Upgrade: real-world Odoo database upgrade survival guide with hugues de keyzer.

Following a great day of connection and collaboration we met at La Grand Poste for some "nibbles" and beer. The food kept on coming, the drinks kept on flowing and the community was able to regroup and catch up with friends new and old.

Day 2 and Day 3

On the 16th and 17th of September we had presentations/talks/roundtable discussion running alongside the code sprint. We are always thankful for the support the community and their willingness to share their knowledge and what they have been up to over the past year. You can catch up on the presentations on our YouTube Channel.

With bittersweet feelings we also said farewell to our Executive Director Virginie Dewulf. Her contributions over her tenure have reached far within the community and we wish her the best in her next endeavours but are thrilled she will still be a contributing member of the OCA going forward.

Our big social event for the OCA Days was on the Tuesday night  - we had a sit down meal with a DJ and dancing to follow. The party kept going right to the last second of the venue being open!

Thank you!

All in all, the feedback about the event was positive. There are a few things to work on for 2026 to make the days even better.

As always we can't make this event happen without outstanding support. The OCA Days workgroup has again been a great help and the Acsone team were as always on duty and we thank them for their unwavering technical skills and ever helpful local knowledge of the area.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, reconnected and collaborated!

We look forward to sharing the plan for OCA Days 2026 with you early next year.
