What’s OCA eLearning?
This eLearning program is aimed at providing Odoo users with essential knowledge of the platform, ensuring a solid understanding of the basics before tackling more complex processes such as finance, logistics, human resources, and manufacturing.
As an Odoo Integrator, this App will help you share basic knowledge with all your new customers. You won’t need to repeat the same things over and over and will be able to focus on live training on the tricky aspects that will offer more value to your customers.
The OCA eLearning program is a dedicated OCA App which relies on the standard Odoo's eLearning application.
The application content is a series of videos, explanations and quizzes to support the learning process for any new user to the Odoo platform. We focus on the foundational knowledge any user has to know to get the best of its business software, being the Community or the Enterprise Edition.
The learning process is separated in two parts. Part one starts with the basics aspect: how to navigate in the Odoo pages, discover the different views, use the filtering and grouping options. The second part goes on to more advanced topics like creating your own Dashboard.
To start with this new OCA App, there are two options:
either you create an account on the eLearning platform, or if you are an Odoo Integrator, you point your customers to this same link where they can follow their own learning process.
OR, you install on your database or on your client’s database the OCA eLearning module[TODO ADD LINK]. This will also install the Odoo’s standards eLearning and website applications, as dependencies. The benefit of this second option is that you can track the progress of the employees and require, for example, that each of them have validated the 2 modules before starting the live training you will be giving.
How and why was this idea born?
As an Odoo integrator for clients of varying sizes, we, at Open Net, often find ourselves repeatedly explaining basic Odoo features (chatter, filters, record creation, etc.). To address this, we aim to ensure that future users complete the eLearning course before beginning their training on the daily operations they will perform in Odoo.
This course will also be valuable for training key users before introducing them to Odoo workflows. The OCA has shown interest in participating in this initiative, which aligns with the new functional track the OCA is promoting.
