Yes, Jordi, that makes sense.

 

An option could be that the user creates an internal transfer. A button should be added on that screen that starts a wizard. In the wizard screen the user would be able to select a location (source and destination), see that QOH on that location, and select the products that have to be moved. The selected products are then added as moves in the internal transfer screen.

 

For your info, I have written a routine that does something similar, but, instead of giving the user the option to select the products, all products with QOH on that source location are added to the internal transfer.

Dear logistics experts,

 

We face the need of a tool to facilitate transfers of existing stock within internal locations.

 

In this respect, if a person wants to move stuff from one place to another, it is important for them to follow a workflow similar to the following:

 

1. I go to a location and see how much stuff is there.

2. I then pick the materials that I want to move to another location.

 

We are considering to add an action in the "Qty on Hand" report, that would allow a user to select the quants that she'd like to move, and initiate a picking out of them.

 

Does that make sense to you?
