Hi Luis, Rafael.

I can see your messages in this ML so it is working properly.

I’m sorry that I won’t be able to actively participate in the discussion, but I’m following it and I’ll add my comments on proposed designs when we have some.

Regarding the code repo, none has been created.
I’m not sure if one is needed - the features might fit in the already existing repos.

Hello Rafael,

Thanks for your email.

We already offered to do some of the tasks, and have analysed the subject in depth. I have scheduled some developer time this month and the next for this subject.

We have costumers asking for the GDPR compliance, and we will have to have it soon.

Who is the OCA PM on this subject? Should we nominate one PM and one funcional analyst to centralize subjects and communications?

Thanks.

Hello,

There are some thread bout this in the list: https://odoo-community.org/groups/gdpr-61?mode=thread

Since October 2017 that Daniel Reis sent the first message about the Working groups I haven’t receive any message event though I’m subscribed, so I miss some info + I cannot answer to any thread L

Now, our customers begin to ask about this matter

Could anyone please give any update? If there is no progress, would it means:

1.       Customers around the work doesn’t care?

2.       Everyone is waiting that someone make it?

:-/

Do we (OCA) plan to have a repo?

GDPR & Odoo - Working group

Hello and welcome aboard everyone.

The goal for this project is to implement GDPR support and compliance for Odoo.
There was a kick off meeting during the Odoo Experience.
To get everyone on the same page I'll borrow and share below Stuart Mackintosh's (SJM) notes from the meeting.
You might like to know that, at the moment of writing, we already have 28 followers on this mailing list.

The specific scope and requirements for the project are yet to be defined.
That will be the first task at hand - Milestone 1.

We need a shared document that will be the deliverable to come out of Milestone 1.
SJM offered to provide the document hosting.
Another option is to use Odoo's public Etherpad service, for example: http://pad.odoo.com/p/gdpr

Regarding the requirements document, I propose adding a section to describe reference use cases to address.
These would help identifying the specific software requirements needed for GDPR.

I would like to remind you that this is a mailing list.
It is good practice to have a different subject/conversation for each topic at discussion, rather than trying to address multiple topics in the same conversation.
So you are welcome to create a new conversation whenever a new non trivial topic shows up in an existing conversation.

Here are kick off meeting notes:
