I don't think that a db synchro will fit the purpose of a synchro through the connector which will allows you to not expose your ERP to the web. So you could have you odoo ecommerce website and your odoo master instance behing a vpn. So this will act in the same way than the connector do with prestashop or magento.

From a theoretical point of view, it seems a much cleaner approch to rely on replication at database level instead of application level...With all my best regards,
