Indeed, the license conditions don't stipulate a fee is required.  Only for full features (more than 5 payments, bank statements newer than 3 days).  That said it is still closed source.

Having a look about it would seem only a matter of time before an open source EBICS python lib is available.  Go, Java, Rails all have them and it doesn't look massively difficult.  Even the Java lib was relatively few LOC.

You don’t need a license for this lib for testing purposes, hence no CI issue.
