a) Transifex project is created automatically first time there's a module in the corresponding branch, so nothing to do there. You only need to obtain the secret, which only can be done by anyone with the OCA password (OCA board members). Here you have the instructions

b) Exactly, that's the record ID of the entry in runbot repositories list. You have to create the entry, see the assigned ID, and put it on that list as reference for the "Try me on runbot" link. The change you mention is something very desirable, but it requires a change in runbot that is not yet done, so any contribution here is welcome.

Hi all,

I've been researching everything that needs to be done when a new OCA repo is created.
The goal is to have a documented checklist.
I've come to a couple of things I can't figure out, and would appreciate your help:

a) Transifex
I can see that the Transifex OCA project needs to be manually created.
Are the several branches automatically recognised or do we need to manually register them somehow?
Any chance this process can be automated?

b) Runbot
I can see that each repo is assigned an ID, stored at
The only use I see so far is for the Runbot URL.
Is it safe to assume that this ID is assigned when the repo is registered in Runbot?
Is that an automatic or manual action?
Any chance we can replace the need to use the ID with a smarter URL route, eg: https://.../runbot/repo/server-tools/8.0
