AW: Product Configurator campaign
byThank you Paul for the update.
I was personally contributing to this campaign earlier, but it is obvious it needs bigger contributions that this valuable piece of work will become part of the OCA modules world.
Moreover it might evolve under AGPL and I want to throw the first stone to make it happen for my company in the beautiful and little European country Austria.
I would kindly ask all companies out there who are working with the beautiful software Odoo to show their support as this feature is obviously needed by the community and companies around the world backed up by the huge support of individuals so far.
And it would be great if Odoo SA itself could contribute and might consider some kind of adoption into the core themselves as variants have a lot of space to be improved.
Let’s make it happen. Thank you to the OCA to support such initiatives as the spirit of “together we are strong” is the way to go :-)

* Scope of project has been enlarged with OCA now on board (see campaign updates).
* 21 backers so far supporting the campaign which I think is awesome.
* 6% funding reached and 11 more days to go.
Support so far on social media was more than great in my opinion with companies and individuals actively spreading the word.
This also a good time to thank them all, especially the OCA for their tremendous efforts in managing and promoting this project.
The target is still a long way to go and donations are still required for this project to be available and launched to the entire Odoo community. We are already getting emails from people wanting to adopt Odoo because of this feature.
Every donation counts and we will make sure to return equal value back to people who offer it while the project is in its infancy.
Help make it happen!
