Hiding Left Sidebar onclick root menu

Hello,

I am trying to hide the left sidebar onclick on a rootmenu. But when I am trying to do that it hides the left sidebar for all menuitems. What I am trying to achieve is the left sidebar will be intact as is for the accounting module.

But when I will click on my root menu the sidebar will hide. It will be great help if anyone can show me the path.
