Re: Time to change our CLA
by

Hi,
Choosing a license is not a placebo at all. It shows the contributors will about his work and he is responsible for that choice. The CLA allows the OCA to relicense all contributions for the goods sake and future of the community and its contributors. It is something the OCA will do with care and respect of all contributors. So far, we always get the agreements of the concerned contributors for any license issue.
We need to trust the OCA for that ! That's why the delegate must vote to elect proper board members that reflect their own vision. Choosing a license is not a placebo at all. There might be some constraints in the bylaws for massive relicensing but I am not in favor of contributors veto on module for which the CLA is signed.
This is actually the whole point of the CLA to allow this kind of move and makes no sense if we have 150 contributors raising a veto.--

I'm not saying I don't trust the OCA, but at least, the relicensing process should be clearly stated in the bylaws, and the module authors should have veto rights IMHO._______________________________________________
