Re: Docker for OCA/OCBby
I would classify in one category, if you agree: TKL, Ubuntu Snappy, CoreOS, Project Atomic, RancherOS
Therefore, you might probably consider using ubuntu snappy or CoreOS or RancherOS over TKL
Docker philosophy, on the other hand, is all about "exposing services to an app", regardless of their physical location. Buzzword: "Distributed". A good start for reading is: http://12factor.net/
A "TKL Odoo" would then correspond probably to "Ubuntu Snappy Odoo".

David,I don't know Docker per say, but TKL" Docker " images are available which I assume are ready to run Odoo and Postgresql. Not sure why one would need to choose one over the other though I do understand there may be more than you want in a TKL image.I like TKL as I get enough tools to navigate what I otherwise don't know with it and Ideally don't have to configure much more.In the TKL Docker(etc) build the Full Postgres/SMTP Mail (outgoing)/Odoo and required dependencies are packaged and run quick. This is the TKL Docker info. I do not however know anything myself about Docker.

Subject: Re: Docker for OCA/OCBCool! That's interesting, however, personally, I would probably never use TKL again (since I;m a docker evangelist:)FYI (@dockeranians):

I put them in their own folder in /etc/sslI recomend putting OCA files into /opt/openerp/oca/For Control Purposes:The Conf file is in /etc/odoo/openerp-server.confThe Service is in /etc/init.d/openerp-serverI initially built this with several OCA Modules built in but in the end they were taken out to make the App Generic. Was forked through Ken (DocCyBlade) to TKL. Ken is a wizard on Git Protocol and Linux Services and I appreciated his help greatly!Pretty easy to fork and include such if anyone is interested. Just a great benefit to using the TKL Library as a start point.Anyway, info for now.best.Landis-----From: "David Arnold" <firstname.lastname@example.org>To: "Contributors" <email@example.com>
