Odoo11 GUI in Odoo 12 available?

Hello,

we are migrating from 8 and did not yet decide if we want to use Odoo 11 or Odoo 12. While we like the extended functionality in Odoo 12, we think that the old GUI navigation was way better. Especially the level 1 menus horizontally and the level 2 menu vertically was way better.

Does anyone know if this menu style is available somewhere in the Code? Maybe it is just something that needs to be reactivated.
