Over the 29th, 30th of September and 1st October 2024, the OCA community arrived in Liege to participate in the OCA Days 2024!
Set up and Social Event #1
The event started with the volunteers joining together on the Sunday afternoon to help set up the rooms. We thank those that were able to join us - many hands make light work and the event space came together quickly.
Following this we headed to L'Atelier Bières. The evening was full of great camaraderie, new and old friends meeting and of course beer in Belgium.
New Format
Following feedback from previous years the format was changed this year. The talks took priority over the code sprint. Each day had 3 tracks.
Monday focussed on:

Module Documentation - this came hot on the heels of introducing the functional track in 2023. One workshop in particular is still creating contribution within the consultants workgroup - you can see the list of modules that need documentation here.

Over the two days a number of workshops were held to help follow on from the talks - giving a good hands on experience and chance to go deeper into topics. If you missed the event you can find the replays on our YouTube channel.
Despite people giving feedback in the past that the talks were where we should focus the OCA Days, the code-sprint area was always full. It was great to see the community coming together and making the most of this time!
Monday Evening - Social #2
One thing that can definitely be said about the OCA members is they work hard and play hard! Freaky Mornings entertained us with their 9 piece band, while the drinks flowed and dinner was served. It was great to see so many people up and dancing and even taking a turn on the instruments as the night wound down.

As always we can't make this event happen without outstanding support. This year we had a workgroup helping to plan the scope of the event in terms of talk and topics and how these should be structured. The Acsone team were as always on duty and we thank them for their unwavering technical skills and ever helpful local knowledge of the area.
