AFAICT MIT is compatible both with LGPL and AGPL.
Why do you say AGPL would be incompatible?

Thanks Pedro,

The module that you propose will be very useful in many cases.

However Gantt Chart very specific for project management. See https://github.com/almende/vis/issues/1699 for a discussion of why vis.js is not suitable for gantt charts.

Hi, Jordi,

We have already one Gantt view module proposed in OCA, started by Acsone and continued by us for v9:

Dear project experts,

In the endless search of a proper Gantt Chart to use in Odoo, I have come across the following:

Could be interesting to integrate in v9 CE and follow up versions.

The question would be of licensing. This is MIT.

Odoo Core is LGPL.

And other addons are AGPL.

I understand that MIT and LGPL can work together.

But AGPL and MIT cannot.

So in what instances would the Gantt chart interact with AGPL modules?

As far as I understand, a web_gantt module that was LGPL and used this frappe library would be pretty much like any other Odoo CE web_* module, and AGPL modules would in general not depend on this one to render Gantt views.
