Jean Marc,

The basic example provided will export a generic Odoo data model using the tools that Odoo uses in his EDI module. That would generate an Odoo-like file format. You would then still need an external tool like Bots to transform that message to a suitable format like EDIFACT.

However, looking into their repositories I can see that they actually implement modules that directly translate into EDIFACT, such as here: https://github.com/clubit/edi-workflow/blob/8.0/edi_routes_invoice_expertm/models/invoice.py

Not sure what would be the best way forward. My previous experience with SAP tells me that it is better to export data to a file format that is specific to Odoo, and then translate it externally using Bots or a similar one.

Thank you Erwin for this good link

The only question I have is : does these modules translate files from direct EDIFACT file format or must be transformed to CSV or JSON ?

Hi Jean Marc, I believe that it needs to be built. I have the same need.

My approach would be to use OCA's Connector to export/import Orders, Pickings, Invoices using a standarized XML format, and then using a tool like Bots ( http://bots.sourceforge.net/en/index.shtml)  to map from/to the desired EDIFACT message format.

You have also a propietary solution:

Hello community,

Has anybody implemented modules for EDI exchange with EDIFACT french standard (ORDERS, DESADV, RECADV, INVOIC) ?

And also the resulting delivery tracking in Odoo

Thanks in advance
