Hello Frederik,

There is a similar requirement in Luxembourg.

The XML Schema is here: http://www.aed.public.lu/FAIA/FAIA/

We have a branch with a prototype of such an export module here:
Beware: it is largely untested, I'm not even sure it works at all.

It could be a starting point and it would be great if the standard could work in different countries.

Best regards,

Dear Odoo accounting experts, dear German Odoo community,

now, after having scrolled through a couple of hundred printed pages on
the audit requirements and taxation standards imposed by
German tax authorities and specifically the following legislations

Grundsätze ordnungsmäßiger Buchführung (GoB)
Grundsätze zur ordnungsmäßigen Führung und Aufbewahrung von
Büchern, Aufzeichnungen und Unterlagen in elektronischer Form
sowie zum Datenzugriff (GoBD)
Abgabenordnung (AO)
Grundsätze zum Datenzugriff und zur Prüfbarkeit digitaler Unterlagen
(GDPdU)

i wonder if any of you (also coming from the other European member
states, the U.S. or any other country with similar law) have ever tried
to export all the relevant accounting information using the
"Beschreibungsstandard für die Datenträgerüberlassung Version 1.1 vom
1.August 2002" published by Audicon or any similar / comparable
standard.

The standard itself allows to export structural data (such as foreign
key relationships, variable length, variable type, field names, etc.) in
an XML format and the data itself in either length-delimited or
length-variable ASCII format using the attached document type definition
(DTD) (see attached files for details).

This dataset can be produced by well known German factura, accounting
and ERP software solutions such as Datev, Lexware and SAP just to name a
few. It can than be imported and analyzed using the IDEA 2002 software
solution which is used by the German tax authorities and distributed by
Audicon in Germany (although the original vendor is the Canadian
CaseWare IDEA Inc.). Tax authorities use this tools to do their
compliance and statistical checks based on the Z3 Prüfverfahren
(Verfahren mit Datenüberlassung).

We have a client in Germany that will most probably be officially
audited starting from next year, but the aforementioned law applies to
all commercial entities in Germany (even much smaller ones). I wonder if
a similar data export routine (with target software systems similar to
IDEA) exists in any other EU member state or even outside Europe and /
or if anybody of you has heard of similar attempts to make Odoo export
that information.

All kinds of answer / hints on modules on the matter such as (but not
limited to):

- XML-export of accounting data (even if not the same format)
- data formats used to import to IDEA
- similar taxation laws inside or outside Europe
- concrete German localizations for that problem
- similar requirements from customers
- willingness to contribute to a project solving that problem
- anything else that relates to it

are pretty much appreciated. Hope i receive lots of feedback. I'd really
try to avoid inventing the wheel twice here trying to establish a very
generic solution.

Thanks a lot in advance for any feedback

KR Frederik
