Re: creation of an OCA mailing listby

About the tools, of course I would love to have it in Google Goups for the features, but honestly I think I'm more in favor of having it in our Odoo instance. If it seems realistic to fix the most harmful lack, let's do it during our code sprint ;) !
Hi,Well, IMO this is may be not the time to give a wrong signal, I agree. But, calling a mailing something like "firstname.lastname@example.org" doesn't seems aggressive to me. I think we need this list (for the code sprint, for the collaboration and to better coordinate our projects devs). In the first place, I thought that we would have one mailing per project. But I think it doesn't make sense now. .

For me, that would be proper threading which is basically passing on the correct headers from my understanding. Searching is handled just fine by my mail client (I estimate a proper frontend for the website to be quite some work. But certainly valuable in the long run), spam filtering seems to me more like a job for the host's MTA. And if you mean with 'reply to list' seeing your own reply, that's my biggest grievance. What I honestly think is:The mailing list should be always a front end of the historically powerful http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/I really do not understand why on such very well tested topic as usual Odoo didn't re-use the wheel. And BTW Mailman is written in the Python programming language, with a little bit of C code for security.Regards.
