Database Anonymization

Dear Odoo contributors, in our use cases its sometimes necessary to obfuscate business data within Odoo databases (mainly for legal compliance). For migration purposes as part of the Odoo core comes the "anonymization" module. However, this module isn't that practical for automating the whole process on large data sets. Therefore i am searching for something handier than this (maybe pure SQL and a bit of Python). Is somebody aware of an artifact doing exactly this or has there been attempt among community members to develop such a thing OR is there something i might have missed that renders my idea senseless ?
