I think that OCA deserves a stronger presence with regards to talks. One idea is that we could make a poll to the general odoo community list to ask which OCA modules they'd like to be presented at Odoo Experience. 

As we then present the talk to Odoo, we can back it with the poll results. The authors and contributors would be, of course, the best candidates to present.

An idea also would be to propose talks in v8 and v9 modules. And, if the winning module to be presented is in v8, then we all make an effort to help port it to v9 before the Odoo Experience.
