Please note also the following:

Segment Reporting, which is the same as Operating Unit Reporting, is an IFRS requirement for publicly traded companies that have distinct operating units. The company needs to provide official separate P&L and BS for each operating unit / segment, even when these segments belong to the same legal entity.
